Who we are

Keg River Cowboy Way Society, known as CWS, is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in 2012 under the Societies Act. CWS was formed by members of the Keg River community who recognized a need for family oriented local events.  The board was formed; Chester & Kathy Omoth, Berta & Kyle Mosure, Randy & Carol Cardinal; Kyle Jr & Delores Mosure.  There are no paid members or directors; this is strictly volunteer effort.  We currently have a membership of 20.  Our vision is to have a site where we can offer local rodeo events, local barrel racing, horsemanship, old time sports days, and each year host the Bar K Ranch annual Poker Rally.  We would love to hear any ideas about events you would like to have in our community.  Over the past two years we have been applying for a recreation lease.  Even with all the hurdles we have had to encounter, the lease is in the final stages.  We can get on the land as of May 1, 2015.  We still have a long way to go; but with the  continued awesome commitment from our community  volunteers, that we have seen - we can pull this together to become a force for a wholesome cowboy way of life..  Thank you to all the volunteers!

Are you interested in getting involved in your community? We are looking for membership. $50.00(fifty dollars) per year, renewable at annual membership meeting in April of each year.
